Density and frequency of keywords on the page
About the check
Density is the share of a word or phrase in a page’s text. The report helps you find repetitions and see exactly where selected queries appear.
Enter a page address and the keywords you’re interested in. The report will show the number of occurrences and the calculated density for each one.
Check whether the phrase appears in the Title, meta tags, H1–H6 headings, and main text. This makes it easier to tell a repeated heading from a detailed discussion of the topic.
High frequency is a reason to read the text, not automatically delete words. Repetitions may be related to the page topic, navigation, or template elements.
After the check
Assess metrics alongside the page content and the reader's needs. Density alone does not determine text quality or search rankings.
Title and main heading should clearly describe the content. Use the key phrase where it helps readers, without needing to repeat it in every element.
Review sections where the same wording appears too often. Remove duplicates while keeping names, terms, and details needed for clarity.
Recheck the updated page and see how the phrase distribution has changed. Compare actual phrase use while keeping the text natural and clear.
Density shows what share of the text consists of mentions of a word or phrase. Use it to compare pages and find repetitions—not to assess page quality or predict search rankings.
