Check methodology
The report describes the certificate obtained from the server on port 443 and the parameters of the established TLS connection. It helps you check the validity period and available HTTPS details.
Check the validity dates, issuer, and SAN names against the required domain. The report also shows the serial number and fingerprint of the certificate received. This information applies to the server that responded during the check.
Shows the parameters agreed on during connection. This is not a list of all protocols and ciphers supported by the server: combinations are not tested.
The score depends on the basic certificate check result, days until expiry, and TLS version. For example, with TLS 1.3, a successful basic check, and more than 30 days until expiry, the result is A+. This explains the methodology; it is not a measurement of a specific site.
The basic score does not confirm the full trust chain or compatibility with all browsers. Check certificate revocation, mixed page content, and the full TLS configuration separately.
