What Is On-page SEO
On-page SEO is a set of methods for optimizing individual website pages to improve their positions in search results. Unlike off-page SEO (external links), on-page factors are fully under the webmaster’s control.
On-page SEO answers the question: “How well does the page match the search query?”

FAQ
How many keywords can you optimize one page for? One page should target one primary search query plus several semantically related ones. Attempts to optimize a page for dozens of different queries reduce its relevance for each one.
Should you re-optimize older pages? Yes. Regularly update the title, description, and content to:
- Add new keywords
- Improve CTR
- Update outdated information
- Add new sections based on PAA questions
Is on-page more important than off-page (links)? They complement each other. Without good on-page SEO, backlinks won’t help. Without backlinks, excellent on-page SEO limits growth. For new websites, start with on-page SEO, then work on links.
